The UPSC does not provide an option to challenge the answer key.

The answer key and result are two different things. The candidates will be shortlisted further according to the merit position in the merit list.

There will not be any answer key for the mains exam.
Q4.Is there any negative marking for the wrong answers?
Wrong marks will carry negative 1/3rd marks.
Q5.What types of questions will appear in the UPSC IES mains exam?
IES Prelims Paper 1 is common for all candidates while Paper 2 is candidate specific. Paper 1 has 2 objective papers and Paper 2 has descriptive questions. UPSC IES Main exam is based on the engineering branch opted by a candidate.
Q6.What documents should I carry with me to the examination center?
A candidate is required to carry a document which works as an identity proof and it should be valid and issued by the government of India. One can carry Pan Card Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Passport or Driving License.

A candidate must look out for name & signature, roll number/registration number, details like DOB, gender, category, etc, photograph, date, time and venue of the examination and other general guidelines.
