| CODE 01 | Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam with 12th result awaited may apply and appear in the test, but admission is subject to passing the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English before first round of counselling. Must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board. |
| CODE 02 | Passed Class 12 / Higher Secondary / Indian School Certificate (ISC) or equivalent after 12 years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English, including practical tests. Mathematics or any elective subject may be included. English must be at core course level as prescribed by NTA. |
| CODE 03 | Passed Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science from a recognized Indian University/Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English, including practical tests in these subjects. |
| CODE 04 | Passed Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English after Higher Secondary/Pre-University or equivalent. Must include practical tests in science subjects and English. |
| CODE 05 | Completed first year of a 3-year degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnology, including practical tests, provided the earlier qualifying exam was passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English. |
