| Post Graduate Teacher (PGTs) | Candidates selected for PGT post are eligible to teach up to 12th grade in any KVS school of India. These teachers deal with subjects include History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Political Science, Mathematics, English, Business Studies, Economics, and more. |
| Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) | Candidates selected for TGT post are eligible to teach up to 10th grade in any KVS School of India. The Trained Graduate Teachers will deal with subjects like Maths, Social Science, Science, English, Sanskrit, Hindi, and more. |
| Primary Teachers (PRTs) | The PRTs are eligible to teach from Grade 1st to Grade 5th in any KVS School of India. These teachers deals with subjects such as Maths, EVS, Hindi, and English. |
| Assistant Commissioners | Their major role includes to assist the Deputy Commissioner in administrative functions. To draw programmes in special areas of curriculum - Work Experience, Physical Education, Vocational Education, Arts, Music, etc To develop programmes or functions for slow and gifted children, etc. |
| Principals | To engage teachers on part time/ contractual basis as TGT/PGT/PRT subject to relevant instructions in this regard. To administer the Vidyalaya to develop healthy teacher-pupil relationship To look after the welfare of the employees of the Vidyalaya, etc. |
