In the first phase, facilities required for space-sector industries will be developed across 2,801 acres, including a 571-acre startup activation zone.

Karnataka: India's First State-Led Space Tech Centre of Excellence

Karnataka, long considered the epicentre of India's space and technology innovation, has launched India's first state-level Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Space Technology in Bengaluru. This initiative, a partnership between the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and SatCom Industry Association-India (SIA-India), aims to incubate and accelerate space tech startups, drive research and development, and position Karnataka as a global space innovation hub.
